Your help is needed to move bricks from the gardener’s store to a skip. The skip is arriving on Tuesday, 21st April around 9.15 a.m. During the following times, help is required with moving the planned items – mainly the bricks.
Tuesday, 21st April: 9.30 a.m.-11.30 a.m.;  1.30 p.m.- 3.30 p.m.; 6 p.m.-8 p.m.
Wednesday, 22nd April: 9.30 a.m.-11.30 a.m.; 1.30 p.m.- 3.30 p.m.; 6 p.m.-8 p.m.
Thursday, 23rd April: 9.30 a.m.-11.30 a.m.; 1.30 p.m..- 3.30 p.m.; 6 p.m.-8 p.m.
If you are able to help, please attend as above. Please bring some gardening gloves to protect your hands.
The skip is expected to be filled with the planned items, so please do not put any other items in the skip. If you have something you would like to put in it, email webadmin@mure.org to let us know what and where it is, and if possible, we will include it.

A service was held on Friday, 6th March, at Mure Memorial, to celebrate Women’s World Day of Prayer.

This was well attended with many of the local churches being represented. The topic was Nigeria and we sang hymns and watched videos which showed the lives of three women and their daily struggles.

It was informative and enjoyable gathering. Tea and cakes were served after. Many thanks to all who helped with this.

The Girls’ Brigade coffee morning will be held on Saturday 14th March from 10.30am to 12 noon.

Tickets, which include tea/coffee/juice and home baking, cost £2 for adults and £1 for children and are payable at the door.

Activities, available on the day, will include Tombola, Glitter Tattoos, Guess the Weight of the Cake and an Easter Colouring Contest. 

Home Baking will also be on sale. Any donations of Home Baking would be most welcome and can be brought on the day, or given to any GB leader.

As part of the Brigader badgework the girls are learning about foodbanks and the Explorers are learning about helping hands. We would therefore like to collect some food donations for our local food bank at Barrachnie, ‘Community of Helping Hands’. If you would like to make a donation there will be an area to donate non perishable food items on the day of the coffee morning or they can be given to any GB leader. Thank you in advance, 45th Glasgow Girls Brigade.

The Litter picks in conjunction with Garrowhill Community Council are starting again. The first will be on Saturday 31st January, then 21st February  both at 11am-1:00pm, starting and ending from Mure. On the 21st March it is a big one, part of the national Keep Scotland Beautiful Campaign, and if you or your families could support that, please, we are looking for a big community effort on that day. A great time was had by all who attended the Christmas Tree Light Switch On event. There were a great deal of things going on, organised by Garrowhill Community Council, which included arts & crafts, Santa in a beautifully decorated grotto, a big inflatable snow globe, picture booth, balloon art and candy floss. Garrowhill Primary School Parent Council also had a stall where reindeer food and raffles were available.

We were greatly entertained by Caledonia Primary School singing well-known Christmas songs.

Mure Memorial provided teas, coffees and hot dogs which went down well.
