Baptism
Baptism
Baptism is a visible sign of an invisible blessing. When children are baptised, we state that God loves your child. In presenting your child for baptism, you affirm your desire that they know Jesus and learn how to love him and serve him. In baptism, we claim this child for the church of Jesus, committing ourselves to do all that we can by prayer and example to bring your child up in the Jesus Way of Living.
Matthew, chapter 19, verses 13-14, Jesus Blesses Little Children:
“Some people brought children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them and to pray for them, but the disciples scolded the people. Jesus said, Let the children come to me and do not stop them, because the Kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these”.
