On Sunday, 5th January, 2020, Mure Memorial held a Chalking the Step blessing after the morning service.
This was in collaboration with visual artists Gardner & Gardner and the Moderator who invited every congregation to gather at the front steps of their church and pray a blessing on everyone who will cross the threshold of their building in 2020.
Then, as a reminder, of the blessing, you chalk on the front step: 20 + C + M + B + 20 which indicates the year and the blessing “Christus Mansionem Benedictat” (may Christ bless this house).
It was a quite cold and windy day and we were all happy to get back inside.
