MAP Official Opening Ceremony 2019

On Sunday, 12th May, 2019, after many years of piloting the Mure Access Project to provide improved access facilities to the church for our community, Peter Malcolm and Janet Park, were present to see their hard work come to fruition. The new facilities takes the form of a building extension with a lift and additional accessible toilet facilities. An enjoyable lunch was held after the opening ceremony which everyone enjoyed.

GIFT SERVICE 2019

On Sunday, 8th December, 2019, Mure Memorial had a very successful Gift Service where presents were collected for two charities – Glasgow the Caring City is a charity which supports children in crisis here and overseas – and Glasgow East Women’s Aid who provide support for women, children and young people who are affected by domestic abuse. Below are the The JAM Club members who assisted with the collection of the gifts.

Nativity Play 2019

The children of the JAM Club entertained the congregation on Sunday, 22nd December, 2019, with a rhyming version of the Nativity Play. The actors were accompanied by a Junior Choir who sang with great voice and enthusiasm. Well done to all the children and to the staff for the organisation of such a wonderful play.

Boys’ Brigade Queen’s Badge Award 2019

On the 9th May, 2019, at the Junior and Company Section Display of the 137th Glasgow Company Boys’ Brigade, Callum Greenshields was presented with the Queen’s Badge, in the usual tradition, by his mum.

Diamond Wedding Celebrations

On the 17th March, 2019, the congregation joined together to celebrate two couples reaching the major milestone of 60 years of marriage.

Boys’ Brigade Junior Section Dalguise Weekend 2018

Excellent weekend at Dalguise. The weather was kind and particularly warm and sunny on the Sunday, Activities and food were excellent as was our PGL group leader Danny. Canoeing, Archery, Orienteering, Survivor, Challenge Course, Sensory Trail, Quad Biking and Climbing Wall were the daytime activities. Evening activities included Ambush and Capture The Flag.

GB Juniors: Treasure Hunt 2018

Six girls and two officers attended the Glasgow Girls’ Brigade Treasure Hunt on Sunday, 7th October, 2018 and had great fun and success, chasing clues round the city centre. Despite being soaked through our girls came in first. Well done to all who took part and enjoyed a great afternoon organised by the brigade.

Presentation to Anne Stuart

On Sunday, 22nd April, 2018, a presentation was made to Anne Stuart on her retiral from 43 years of decorating the church sanctuary with flowers.

Her achievements in displaying God’s creation with such skill and artistry have been greatly enjoyed by the congregation and we all wish her well in her retirement from this work.
