Well done to Abi taking a turn
of lighting
the candle on the
third Sunday of Advent.
Today, Sunday, 10th December, 2023, is the second Sunday of Advent. Please see picture below of Sam lighting the advent candles.
The Guild Christmas Lunch was held on Thursday, 7th December, in the large hall with around 40 ladies in attendance.
Everyone enjoyed a delicious lunch of soup, sandwiches and cakes and then were entertained by Seline and John with music and song.
Each member also received a little gift. A great time was had by all.
Many thanks to everyone who contributed their skills in providing all the food and ensuring all were looked after.
Today, Sunday, 3rd December, 2023, was the first Sunday in Advent. It was a nice occasion for Ross who was asked to light the first candle by Edson.
I know he would be very pleased to be involved. Well done, Ross.
We are delighted to announce the three designs, which will be printed as Christmas Cards for distribution to our Church members, were designed by the following children:
Evie Campbell Age 9 (Noel)
Poppy McLellan Age 9 (Merry Christmas)
Sophie Wilson Age 11 (Silhouette Sleigh)
On Sunday, 8th December, 2019, Mure Memorial had a very successful Gift Service where presents were collected for two charities – Glasgow the Caring City is a charity which supports children in crisis here and overseas – and Glasgow East Women’s Aid who provide support for women, children and young people who are affected by domestic abuse. Below are the The JAM Club members who assisted with the collection of the gifts.

This is your chance to sing or listen to a performance of Faure’s Requiem. Organised by Dr Katy Cooper, the Director of Chapel Music at the University of Glasgow and Andrew Forbes, the Director of Music at Glasgow Cathedral.

On Sunday, 12th May, 2019, after many years of piloting the Mure Access Project to provide improved access facilities to the church for our community, Peter Malcolm and Janet Park, were present to see their hard work come to fruition. The new facilities takes the form of a building extension with a lift and additional accessible toilet facilities. An enjoyable lunch was held after the opening ceremony which everyone enjoyed.
