The Daffodil Club
Our retiring offerings for April Services will be for the Daffodil Club, which runs from Easterhouse Parish Church. The club has been running for 30 years and some of our members attend the club. It provides hot meals and friendship for the Elderly in our community and is a lifeline for many.

Edson’s Afternoon Tea & Presentation
On Saturday, 24th February, 2024, the congregations of Mure Memorial and St Andrew’s came together to enjoy an Afternoon Tea and Presentation to celebrate Edson’s moving on from his work in the East End of Glasgow.

GB Glasgow Collage Competition 2024
On Saturday, 24th February, 2024, the 45th Glasgow Company attended the Glasgow Collage Competition and did an excellent job.

Soup & Sandwich Lunch 2024
The Guild Soup and Sandwich Lunch was held on Saturday, 17th February, 2024. There was a great turnout and the tables were all filled. We enjoyed a choice of three soups, sandwiches
BB Junior Section: Human Bridge
On the 8th February, 2024, the boys enjoyed taking part in an activity called Human Bridge.

Edson’s Last Service at Mure
We are all so sorry that Edson’s last Sunday with us was 28th January, 2024.
He will probably never know the full impact he had on the folk of Mure Memorial.
From a pastoral point of view, he brought comfort and peace to everyone he visited – in homes or in hospitals – and he will be sadly missed.
His faith and passion for the Lord and His Word were evident from his very first day with us.
His all-age talks had our youngsters’ attention and his reflections helped us see how relative the Bible is in our daily lives.

Property Administrator Vacancy
We are looking for someone to be an Administrator for the Property Committee. This would involve looking after the property records and keeping them up to date. It would mainly be a clerical role.

Guild Keep Fit
The Guild Keep Fit On Thursday, 11th January, 2024, the Guild members took part in a Keep Fit afternoon in the church hall. As you can see from the pictures there was a good attendance and obviously they enjoyed themselves. Looks like a lot of hard work, but expect they will

First Sunday of Advent 2023
Today, Sunday, 3rd December, 2023, was the first Sunday in Advent. It was a nice occasion for Ross who was asked to light the first candle by Edson.
I know he would be very pleased to be involved. Well done, Ross.

Christmas Card Competition Results 2023
We are delighted to announce the three designs, which will be printed as Christmas Cards for distribution to our Church members, were designed by the following children:

The Thrift Shop
The Thrift Shop is open the first Tuesday of the month from 10:00-12:00, from September to April, selling many different items from household goods, clothing, books and toys. The items for sale are donated by people throughout the area and many excellent bargains are to be found.

The JAM Club
The Mure Memorial JAM Club (Jesus and Me) meet on Sunday mornings at 10 a.m. The JAM Club Juniors is for 2-4 year olds with The JAM Club for Primary School age. The children learn about Jesus in an interesting and enjoyable programme. Please come and join The JAM Club were all are made very welcome.

The Guild
