GB Juniors: Treasure Hunt 2018
Six girls and two officers attended the Glasgow Girls’ Brigade Treasure Hunt on Sunday, 7th October, 2018 and had great fun and success, chasing clues round the city centre. Despite being soaked through our girls came in first. Well done to all who took part and enjoyed a great afternoon organised by the brigade.

90th Birthday Celebrations 2018
After church, on Sunday, 19th August, 2018, a lunch was held to celebrate four 90th birthdays. Below are our members who have reached this magnificent milestone, from left to right: Mamie Johnston, John Hannah, Janey Drummond and Jessie MacIntyre. An enjoyable meal was enjoyed by all. Many thanks to all who contributed to make this a successful occasion.

BB Junior Section: Glasgow Battalion Indoor Sports 2018
The Glasgow Battalion held an Indoor Sports Competition for Junior Section boys on the 25th April, 2018. There were over 100 boys taking part in the various events at the Emirates Area. All boys took part in events of 60 and 200 metre races, shot putt and long jump.

Presentation to Anne Stuart
On Sunday, 22nd April, 2018, a presentation was made to Anne Stuart on her retiral from 43 years of decorating the church sanctuary with flowers.
Her achievements in displaying God’s creation with such skill and artistry have been greatly enjoyed by the congregation and we all wish her well in her retirement from this work.

BB Company Section: Queens’ Badge 2018
On the 16th March, at the Anchor Boy and Company Section Display of the 137th Glasgow Company Boys’ Brigade two young men were rewarded for all their hard work by the presentation of the Queen’s Badge Award.
Congratulations go to Ross Wallace and Ryan Goudie.
Well done to them both!

GB Juniors: Christmas Movie Night
The girls enjoyed a Christmas Movie Night with pizza and popcorn – all dressed in their jammies on Wednesday, 14th December, 2017. A great time was had by everyone


Boys’ Brigade Junior Section Hallowe’en Party
The boys and staff enjoyed much fun at this year’s Hallowe’en Party. Activities included Dunkin’ Donuts, Dooking for Apples and The Mummy Game – as can be seen from the pictures. Click on them below to show full image.


Christmas Nativity 2017
Sometimes we all get caught up in the commercial side of Christmas and it was nice to pause for breath and remind ourselves that we are celebrating Jesus’ birth. Below are some pictures of the cast. (Mary and Joseph with baby Jesus and the donkey).

New Elders and Long Service Awards 2013

ordained on Sunday, 24th
February, 2013, plus 2 were re-
admitted.

Boys’ Brigade Long Service Award 2013
At the Company Section Annual Inspection, on the 17th May, 2013, Glasgow Battalion Secretary Jim McVean presented 137th Captain John Strachan with two Long Service Awards. One for being captain for 30 years and one for reaching 55 years service with the Boys’ Brigade. An excellent achievement


Cradle Roll Party 2013
On Sunday 6th October we held a party and invited all the babies and children that Malcolm has baptised since his arrival at Mure Memorial – approximately 40 in total. On the day we had 29 children, from 6 months to 12, and 30 mums/dad/grans plus an exceptional team of very willing helpers. The party was a great success with games, toys, arts and crafts and of course, lots of party food. (Thank you Sharon for the amazing cake!)
