The Boys’ Brigade Junior Section Eastern District Indoor Games Competition was held at the halls of Shettleston Old on Saturday, 25th March. Great fun was had by all the boys who attended. The 137th had a particularly good day, with one group of boys coming 1st and another group of three, who had joined up with two other companies, came 2nd.

The Eastern District Boys’ Brigade Junior Section Bible Reading and Art Competitions were held in Kenmure Church on Tuesday, 28th February. The judges found it difficult to separate the boys in both competitions

The Company Section boys enjoyed a three-week course photographic course which culminated in many nice pictures.

On the 25th January, 2017, 10 people from Mure Memorial were invited to enjoy a Burns Supper at Morrisons in Baillieston along with some others. Morrisons aim to celebrate hard work and dedication shown by people in the local community and in this case for our church.

William Graham from The Humane Society visited the Juniors and Brigaders and taught us about their work.

The congregation, family and friends of Mary joined together after the church service on 20th November, 2016, to celebrate her reaching the age of 90. A good lunch was enjoyed by all and many thanks go to all the team who delivered a magnificent spread. Mary below blew out the candles and everyone sang happy birthday to her, which she really loved.
