BB Company Section: Queens’ Badge 2018
On the 16th March, at the Anchor Boy and Company Section Display of the 137th Glasgow Company Boys’ Brigade two young men were rewarded for all their hard work by the presentation of the Queen’s Badge Award.
Congratulations go to Ross Wallace and Ryan Goudie.
Well done to them both!
GB Juniors: Christmas Movie Night
The girls enjoyed a Christmas Movie Night with pizza and popcorn – all dressed in their jammies on Wednesday, 14th December, 2017. A great time was had by everyone
Boys’ Brigade Junior Section Hallowe’en Party
The boys and staff enjoyed much fun at this year’s Hallowe’en Party. Activities included Dunkin’ Donuts, Dooking for Apples and The Mummy Game – as can be seen from the pictures. Click on them below to show full image.
Christmas Nativity 2017
Sometimes we all get caught up in the commercial side of Christmas and it was nice to pause for breath and remind ourselves that we are celebrating Jesus’ birth. Below are some pictures of the cast. (Mary and Joseph with baby Jesus and the donkey).
Boys’ Brigade Junior Section Dalguise Weekend 2017
From the 28th to 30th April, 2017, 15 Junior Section Boys’ and Staff enjoyed an excellent weekend at Dalguise. The weather was cold but dry and a great time was enjoyed by all the boys. Canoeing, Archery, Orienteering, Survivor, Challenge Course, Burn Walk, Quad Biking and Giant Swing were the daytime activities. Evening activities included Wacky Races and a Quiz Night.
Scavanger Hunt
The Boys’ and Girls’ Brigade organised a fun Scavenger Hunt for the community to enjoy, on Sunday, 17th September, 2017. Over a hundred adults and children took part walkiing round Garrowhill, collecting treasure and hunting for clues around the neighbourhood.
GIFT SERVICE 2019
On Sunday, 8th December, 2019, Mure Memorial had a very successful Gift Service where presents were collected for two charities – Glasgow the Caring City is a charity which supports children in crisis here and overseas – and Glasgow East Women’s Aid who provide support for women, children and young people who are affected by domestic abuse. Below are the The JAM Club members who assisted with the collection of the gifts.
Nativity Play 2019
The children of the JAM Club entertained the congregation on Sunday, 22nd December, 2019, with a rhyming version of the Nativity Play. The actors were accompanied by a Junior Choir who sang with great voice and enthusiasm. Well done to all the children and to the staff for the organisation of such a wonderful play.

From the 3rd to the 5th May, 2019, 14 Junior Section Boys’ and Staff enjoyed an excellent weekend at Dalguise.
Boys’ Brigade Queen’s Badge Award 2019
On the 9th May, 2019, at the Junior and Company Section Display of the 137th Glasgow Company Boys’ Brigade, Callum Greenshields was presented with the Queen’s Badge, in the usual tradition, by his mum.
Congratulations go to Callum for this great achievement.
Diamond Wedding Celebrations
On the 17th March, 2019, the congregation joined together to celebrate two couples reaching the major milestone of 60 years of marriage.
The congregation enjoyed a lovely lunch and thanks go to all who contributed and helped provide the meal.
