The Guild
The Church of Scotland Guild is a movement within the Church of Scotland which invites and encourages both women and men to commit their lives to Jesus Christ and enables them to express their faith in worship, prayer and action. With around 23,000 members, the Guild is one of Scotland’s largest voluntary organisation.

SENIOR CITIZENS
The Senior Citizens meet on Mondays from 1.30 p.m. to 4 p.m. from October to March. Please feel free to come along and enjoy friendship and fellowship.

45th Glasgow Girls’ Brigade Juniors & Brigaders
The Juniors and Brigaders of the Girls’ Brigade meet on Wednesdays, from September to May, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The Juniors age group is 8 to 12 years (Primary 4 to 7).

45th Glasgow Girls’ Brigade Explorers Section
The Explorers Section meets on Mondays, from September to May, from 6.15 to 7.30 p.m. This age group is 5 to 8 years (Primary 1 to 3).

Gardening Team
The Gardening Team attempt to keep the garden area as tidy as possible. There are numerous jobs that need done around the garden areas: planting, trimming the shrubs and trees, hoeing and weeding, sweeping the steps and picking up litter, etc.

Boys’ Brigade Anchor Boys
The Anchor Boys meet on Friday evenings throughout the session from 6:15-7:15 p.m. for ages 5-8 years (Primary 1-3).

Boys’ Brigade Junior Section
The 137th Glasgow Company Boys’ Brigade Junior Section meet on Thursday evenings from September to early May from 7:15-9:00 p.m. for ages 8-11 years (Primary 4-6)

Boys’ Brigade Company Section
The Company Section of the Boys’ Brigade meets on Fridays from September to April, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. for 11 to 16 year olds.

Badminton Club
The Badminton Club meet on Monday nights from 8 to 10 p.m. in the Large Hall in the Church from October to April, and is open to women and men 16+.

St Andrew’s Praise Worship
St Andrew’s host a Praise Service on Sunday evenings from 7 to 8 pm. followed by tea and coffee. It is a lovely and uplifting service to which all are welcome.


GB Juniors & Brigaders: The Humane Society 2016
William Graham from The Humane Society visited the Juniors and Brigaders and taught us about their work.

Mary Mathieson 90th Birthday Celebration
The congregation, family and friends of Mary joined together after the church service on 20th November, 2016, to celebrate her reaching the age of 90. A good lunch was enjoyed by all and many thanks go to all the team who delivered a magnificent spread. Mary below blew out the candles and everyone sang happy birthday to her, which she really loved.

MAP Cabaret Night
here was a fundraiser for the Mure Access Project on Saturday, 8th October, 2016, which was greatly enjoyed by all who attended. More importantly there was £1005 raised towards the project, which seeks to provide better access for people who are less mobile.
Many thanks to Twilite for the entertainment and to Garrowhill Bowling Club for allowing us to hold this on their premises.

GB Juniors: Paramedic Visit
The girls enjoyed a vist on Wednesday, 9th November, from two paramedics from the Scottish Ambulance Service.
The girls learned about the Ambulance Service, how to administer CPR and were also treated to an on board experience in an ambulance.
