Junior Section Christmas Party 2021

COP26 POETRY SUCCESS
One of our Junior Sections boys, Steven Bennie, achieved great success when taking part in the Lord Provost’s COP26 Poetry Competition, by reaching the final of the competition.

Nativity Service 2021
The children and staff of the JAM Club portrayed the Christmas story for us today with singing and dancing. It was greatly enjoyed by the congregation. Below are a few pictures of the occasion. Many thanks to all the JAM Club.

Easter Card Design Activity 2021
Three cards were chosen to be used to be deliver a message to the congregation. Look for them dropping through your door soon.
The successful designers from left to right are: Grace McKibbin, Stuart Paterson and Katie Cross. Well done to you all.

Youth Fellowship
The Youth Fellowship is for young people from S1-S6 and they meet in the big hall on Sunday evenings, September through June, from 7 to 9 p.m. There is also a morning edition, YF:AM, which meets Sunday mornings 10 to 11 a.m.

Poppy Stone Painting Display 2020
Well done to everyone who painted poppies on to stones. It is a fitting tribute for the armed forces. Many thanks to the Patrick family for displaying them to nicely.

Boys’ Brigade Junior Section Dalguise Weekend 2018
Excellent weekend at Dalguise. The weather was kind and particularly warm and sunny on the Sunday, Activities and food were excellent as was our PGL group leader Danny. Canoeing, Archery, Orienteering, Survivor, Challenge Course, Sensory Trail, Quad Biking and Climbing Wall were the daytime activities. Evening activities included Ambush and Capture The Flag.

GB Juniors: Treasure Hunt 2018
Six girls and two officers attended the Glasgow Girls’ Brigade Treasure Hunt on Sunday, 7th October, 2018 and had great fun and success, chasing clues round the city centre. Despite being soaked through our girls came in first. Well done to all who took part and enjoyed a great afternoon organised by the brigade.

90th Birthday Celebrations 2018
After church, on Sunday, 19th August, 2018, a lunch was held to celebrate four 90th birthdays. Below are our members who have reached this magnificent milestone, from left to right: Mamie Johnston, John Hannah, Janey Drummond and Jessie MacIntyre. An enjoyable meal was enjoyed by all. Many thanks to all who contributed to make this a successful occasion.

BB Junior Section: Glasgow Battalion Indoor Sports 2018
The Glasgow Battalion held an Indoor Sports Competition for Junior Section boys on the 25th April, 2018. There were over 100 boys taking part in the various events at the Emirates Area. All boys took part in events of 60 and 200 metre races, shot putt and long jump.

Presentation to Anne Stuart
On Sunday, 22nd April, 2018, a presentation was made to Anne Stuart on her retiral from 43 years of decorating the church sanctuary with flowers.
Her achievements in displaying God’s creation with such skill and artistry have been greatly enjoyed by the congregation and we all wish her well in her retirement from this work.
